Welcome UPL is back!
The Polytechnic University of Lisbon (UPL) welcomes new Portuguese and international students beginning their academic journey at UPL in 2026/2027.
The 9th edition of Welcome UPL, organised in partnership with the IPL Students’ Federation , brings together students, academic staff, and technical, specialist and administrative staff from the University’s eight Schools for one of the first major events of the new academic year.
For the first time, the event takes place at the Lisbon Engineering School (ISEL) , on 2 October 2026. In a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, students can discover projects, University services and student groups, meet fellow students and enjoy an afternoon and evening of music and entertainment to celebrate the start of the academic year.
Admission is free for all UPL students.
4.00 pm and 5.00 pm | Free shuttle to the event | Departure from the UPL Benfica Campus
First-year students are entitled to a Welcome Kit and a Dinner Box.
