Held in Portugal, with organization of the Superior Institute of Accounting and Administration of Lisbon (ISCAL) and the Polytechnic of Lisbon in collaboration with the  Global Corporate Governance Institute, the  7th   International Conference on CSR, Sustainability, Ethics & Governance, one of the largest international conferences with a focus on social responsibility at the business level.

From 23 a to June 25, in digital format, have been presented  135 articles, coming from 38 countries, on corporate social responsibility; sustainability, ethics and governance in their various dimensions. During 3 days, the latest empirical studies and the respective practical implications at the business, social, political and academic level were presented. It addressed the thematic of social responsibility in times of crisis and in emerging areas such as in health and the digital revolution.

Bert Scholtens, Elisabeth Fröhlich and   Lúcia Lima Rodrigues  were the keynote speakers of the conference that proceeded, in previous years, in London, Nanjing, Cologne, Perth, Santander and Abu Dhabi.

To  Irene Arraiano, faculty of the ISCAL and chair of the organizing committee, was a pride to receive the event in Portugal that considers it to have been a success in which much contributed "the presence of internationally renowned speakers who enriched the conference with their presentations and served as an inspiration to the participants for future investigations ", said in the closing speech.

 

 

 

The hosting of the seventh edition of this conference was for the Lisbon Polytechnic the example that the higher education institution is committed to strengthening its relations international.  "Our main goal is the promotion of citizenship, encouraging the participation of our students in their institutions and community.", said  Maria João Escudeiro, vice president of the IPL, in the opening speech of the event.

Orlando Gomes, the president of the ISCAL, stands out, with pride, the presence of investigators from this institution who have been part of the program of the event.

At the closing session were announced the five best scientific articles announced by   ...Nicholas Capaldi, the president of the Corporate Governance Institute. The chosen ones have received free participation in the next edition of the conference that will take place in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in the USA.

The Corporate Governance Institute is an institution that  "more than teaching", has the important social function of contributing to  " evolution of business practices in a global economy. As well as drawing attention to the problems of development and encouraging good practices. ",  considers Nicholas Capaldi.
