Applicants admitted to IPL courses must register and enrollment in online courses within the time limit set on the calendar, through the credentials received after application. The tuition also entails enrollment of the student in the respective department and is subject to the payment of fees set out in the Lisbon Polytechnic table (value to be determined by the direction of each organic unit).

At the beginning of each school year, Lisbon Polytechnic welcomes the more than 2500 students entering the 1st year of graduation, where international students are included. The preselection consists in the evaluation of a video, presented at the time of the submission, in which the candidate performs classical dance technique exercises, contemporary dance technique and a choreography.
Each of the exercises mentioned should have duration of 3 a to 4 and present the following contents:
