Nascido em Lisboa, Nuno Ivo Cruz pertence à terceira geração de uma família de músicos profissionais. É Primeiro Flauta da Orquestra Sinfónica Portuguesa. É membro do Quinteto Flamen desde 1988.
Integrado neste e noutros grupos tem-se apresentado em concertos de Música de Câmara nas principais séries e festivais do país, bem como na Holanda, Alemanha, Itália, Brasil e Festival de Macau. Foi solista da Orquestra Filarmónica das Comunidades Europeias (Bruxelas). Apresentou-se em concertos a solo com a Orquestra Sinfónica Portuguesa, , Orquestra da Régie Sinfonia e Orquestra Gulbenkian.
Nuno Ivo Cruz é licenciado pelo Conservatório Real de Haia, que frequentou como bolseiro da Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian. Professor de Flauta Transversal e de Repertório da Flauta Transversal na Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa. Foi responsável pelo Seminário Principal, sobre a obra de W. A. Mozart, no primeiro Mestrado em Artes Musicais realizado pela Universidade Nova de Lisboa.
Born in Lisbon, Nuno Ivo Cruz belongs to the third generation of a family of professional musicians. He is First Flute of the Portuguese Symphony Orchestra. He has been a member of the Flamen Quintet since 1988.
Integrated in this and other groups he has performed at Chamber Music concerts in the main series and festivals of the country, as well as in the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Brazil and Macao Festival. He was a soloist with the Philharmonic Orchestra of the European Communities (Brussels). He performed in solo concerts with the Portuguese Symphonic Orchestra, Régie Sinfonia Orchestra and Gulbenkian Orchestra.
Nuno Ivo Cruz graduated from the Royal Conservatory of The Hague, which he attended as a fellow of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. Professor of Transverse Flute and Repertoire of the Transverse Flute at the Superior School of Music of Lisbon. He was responsible for the Main Seminar, about the work of W. A. Mozart, in the first Master's Degree in Musical Arts realized by the New University of Lisbon.
